About Ramadan at UMA

At UMA, Ramadan is more than just a month of fasting—it’s a time of connection, reflection, and spiritual growth. Each year, we come together to honor the blessings of this sacred month through a wide range of programs designed for all ages and backgrounds.

From nightly Taraweeh prayers and inspiring lectures by renowned speakers to vibrant community iftars and engaging activities for youth, Ramadan at UMA is a cornerstone of our commitment to fostering faith and unity.

Yes! UMA provides dedicated prayer spaces for sisters at both our Padstow Centre and Greenacre Public School Taraweeh locations. Sisters are welcome to join and benefit from the Ramadan atmosphere in a safe and comfortable environment.

Yes! The last 10 nights of Ramadan are a special time for increased worship, and UMA offers several programs to help you maximise your spiritual connection, including:

  • Qiyam-ul-Layl (Night Prayers) at the UMA Centre
  • After Fajr lessons focusing on reflection and spiritual growth
  • Seclusion opportunities for I’tikaf (subject to availability)
  • Community Suhoor gatherings
