As we embrace this blessed month of reflection, generosity and giving, we are excited to update you further on the progress of the UMA Future Project. With Phase 1 – demolition of existing structures – completed last year, Phase 2 is well underway. Excavation for our new underground parking facility is progressing rapidly. This essential phase will accommodate over 300 vehicles, ensuring accessibility and convenience for our growing community.
Following the completion of the parking facility, we will begin Phase 3, which includes the construction of our new masjid, educational facility and administrative hub – our vision for a comprehensive centre serving the needs of the Muslim community.
- The new masjid will feature a beautiful courtyard, providing a sacred space for thousands of worshippers to gather in prayer and unity.
- The educational facility will house Australia’s first Islamic university, fostering homegrown Imams and scholars who will lead the way in advancing Islamic education.
- The administrative hub will support essential community services, including a new youth centre and Islamic museum, creating opportunities for learning, growth and engagement.
